CULTURE COAST

PROJECT TYPE:
Documentary
Along Florida’s Gulf Coast sits Sarasota, an area that has earned the nickname Culture Coast due to its reputation for creative arts in traditional and abstract forms. In 2020, Storyvox set out on a four episode docuseries to capture the spirits of artists who call this place their home. Spotlighting artists like Ashton Auto Restoration, Tim Jaeger, Bronzart Foundry, and Tremblay Wood Art, this series dives into the people who are behind the canvas, offering an inside look upon their creative process, inspirations, and drive to create vivid art pieces.
From painters to experimental creators pushing boundaries, each episode offers a glimpse into their diverse voices that helps define Sarasota’s creative identity. Art isn’t always found in galleries. Sometimes it’s in places where you least expect it—especially in Sarasota where it is woven into its history. In this series, Storyvox digs deeper into the culture by telling the story from the artists’ perspectives. During this process, we captured authentic, raw, and unique stories that reflect Culture Coast.
