Let’s turn your vision into something extraordinary.
We did not set out to build a virtual production studio. We set out to tell better stories.
In early 2021 we started experimenting with virtual production workflows in a modest space, nothing fancy, just curiosity and a willingness to figure it out. The learning curve was real. The technology was still finding its footing and training resources were scarce industry-wide. But something kept pulling us back in. Every time we got it right, even partially, we could see what it was capable of. And we could not unsee it.
What drew us in was not the technology. It was what the technology made possible. The ability to put a client inside a world that does not exist yet. To show them their story fully realized before a single shoot day is scheduled. To collapse the distance between what someone imagines and what ends up on screen. In over fifteen years of filmmaking, no tool has opened up creative possibilities the way virtual production has. It is the first thing we have worked with that genuinely expands what we can imagine, not just how efficiently we can execute it.
As the ambition of our work grew, so did the studio. In 2024, we expanded into an 8400 square foot soundstage and quadrupled the size of our LED wall. We designed specifically around what virtual production demands: scale, precision, and the kind of technical infrastructure that lets creativity move fast without breaking things.
We have put a lot of ourselves into what exists inside these walls. This studio represents years of curiosity, experimentation, and a genuine belief that the Gulf Coast deserved a place where the most ambitious creative ideas could actually be made. We built it because we wanted it to exist. And every time a client walks in and sees what is possible, we remember exactly why.
How our space is built to support every moment on set.

The Power of
Virtual Production
If you’re reading this, you likely already know a bit about virtual production. There’s a lot of noise around it — here’s what it actually does, and why we’ve built our studio around it.
We create fully realized digital environments and display them on our LED volume — not as a backdrop, but as a living world. As the camera moves, the environment responds in real time. Light wraps naturally. Perspective shifts correctly. What you see through the lens is the final image.
Every environment is precisely mapped to the physical stage — no guesswork, no compositing surprises, no wasted time fixing what should have been right on set. Crews spend less time troubleshooting and more time telling your story.
What this means is creative freedom traditional production can’t match: locations that don’t exist, lighting you can’t rent, environments you can’t build. Scenes that would take days of travel and coordination are captured in a single shoot — exactly as envisioned.
But the biggest advantage happens before the camera rolls. When your scene is fully built and decisions are already made, the shoot becomes execution — not experimentation.
That’s what previs is for.
Pre-Visualization
Most productions make their biggest creative decisions under pressure — on set, on the clock, with a crew waiting. Previs changes that.
Before shoot day, we build your scene in Unreal Engine — environments, camera angles, and lighting — all rendered in real time and displayed exactly as they’ll appear on camera. You see your shot before you shoot it, and make decisions while it’s still fast and cost-effective to adjust.
This isn’t a rough sketch. It’s your fully built, interactive production environment, with your team in the room making real decisions. Directors find their shots. DPs dial in lighting. Clients see exactly what they’re getting before a dollar is spent on shoot day.
The result: a faster, smoother shoot. No surprises. No costly pivots. Just a crew that already knows what they’re making.
At Storyvox, previs isn’t an afterthought — it’s where every project begins. Done right, it pays for itself: unlocking creative, reducing setup time, and turning uncertainty into confidence before you ever step on set.
On Set
That’s what makes a Storyvox production feel different the moment you step on set. The director has already found the shots. The DP has already solved the lighting. The client has already seen the scene. What’s left is capturing it — with a crew aligned and ready to move.
Our LED wall doesn’t just display an environment — it becomes one. Practical elements are grounded by its natural light. Talent moves through a world that responds to them. The camera captures real depth and dimension — not a guess, but something physically there.
Every department works from the same visual truth. No waiting for post. No imagining the final composite. What you see on the monitor is what you get. Decisions happen in real time, by the people who matter.
The result is a shoot day that feels less like a technical exercise and more like filmmaking — fast when it needs to be, deliberate when it counts, and always moving toward the shots you came to get.
Where We Are
Sarasota, FL is right on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. It is home to some of the best beaches in the country, a thriving arts scene, and great weather year-round. It’s a great place to visit, and even better place to work.
Our studio is just minutes from the SRQ International Airport on the campus of Ringling College of Art and Design, one of the top ranked art and design institutions in the country. We lease one of their professional soundstages and own everything inside it. The LED volume, the camera tracking system, the Unreal Engine pipeline, the technical infrastructure…all of it is ours, built and operated by our team.
This partnership is not incidental to what we offer. It is a big part of what makes it possible. Virtual production has a reputation for being reserved for the biggest budgets in the biggest cities. We built this studio specifically to challenge that idea.
If your project has a story worth telling and a vision worth realizing, the conversation about whether virtual production is within reach is one we want to have with you. More often than not, the answer is yes.
Your Questions
Answered.
-
Our studio is built for virtual production — featuring a professional LED wall that can be used for immersive backgrounds, motion graphics plates, or any shoot where you need dynamic, controlled environments without going on location.
We offer the space as a straight studio rental if you're bringing your own crew, or we can layer in our full suite of production support: Unreal Engine development, previs, on-set virtual production supervision, and crew.
For clients who want to go even further, we're a full-service production company. This means we can take a project from creative concept all the way through post. Whatever level of involvement you need, we're built to flex around it.
-
Collaborative, straightforward, and genuinely fun…at least that's what we hear! From the first conversation to the final deliverable, our team is right there with you.
We're not the kind of crew that disappears after a kick-off call and resurfaces on shoot day. We ask the right questions early, bring our own creative instincts to the table, and stay communicative throughout so there are no surprises.
On set, that same energy carries over. We've built a team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We've found that when clients feel comfortable, the work gets better.
Whether you're bringing us a fully baked concept or a rough idea that needs shaping, we know how to meet you where you are and move things forward.
The goal is always to make you feel like you've got a team in your corner not just a vendor checking boxes.
-
Not at all! That's entirely up to you. You're welcome to rent the studio and bring your own team and gear, or we can provide full crew and production support.
Many of our clients come in with their own agency or production team and simply use our space and technical infrastructure. Others want us end-to-end. Either way works.
-
We offer both. Our in-house team includes Unreal Engine developers who can build out your environment before the shoot day, run previs so your team knows exactly what to expect on set, and provide full technical supervision during production.
If you're newer to virtual production, that guidance can make a significant difference in how smoothly things go.

The studio is ideal for commercials, branded content, and any project where you want to create a controlled environment.
Whether that's a photorealistic background, a stylized world, or clean motion graphics plates. It's especially powerful when location shooting isn't practical or when you need to shoot multiple environments in a single day.
-
The easiest way is to schedule a studio tour or a quick call through our booking link. We can walk you through the space, talk through your project, and confirm availability. We'd rather have a short conversation upfront than go back and forth over email.

Honestly, it depends on the project, and that's not a dodge, it's just the reality of how virtual production works.
A shoot using simple motion graphics plates is a very different lift than one involving full Unreal Engine environments and real-time camera tracking, and the rate reflects that.
What we will say is that we've built this studio specifically to make high-end virtual production more accessible than most people expect. If you've looked at virtual production and assumed it was out of reach for your budget, it's worth a conversation before you rule it out.
The best first step is a quick call where we can hear about your project and give you a real sense of what it would look like to work together.
