For the Illest of Ill exhibition at Ringling College of Art & Design, Storyvox wanted to do things a little differently. We took Illustration student artwork beyond the canvas and transferred it to an interactive video experience. Using Unreal Engine, we built a vibrant and dynamic 3D environment to create an illustrated world. The environment blended seamlessly with the students’ original work. Creating a playful world where hand-drawn elements came to life on the screen, allowing you to explore within the space. What made this so special was how we had the opportunity to invite students to step inside their own creations and live with them. Suddenly their work became more than just something to hold and observe, it became a part of an experience. We pushed the boundaries of a traditional gallery by blending technology and creativity. The exhibition allowed us to step inside the artists’ imaginations.
