Nothing NEw: Archives of Affection

ABOUT:

In 2024, Storyvox produced Nothing New: Archives of Affection, a mini-documentary exploring a curated collection of tintype photographs from the early 1900s. We used virtual production to recreate a period-specific setting that matched the early 1900s era of the tintype photographs. We wanted the video to feel timeless and immersive, touching on themes like memory, affection, and the charm of old-school photography. It ended up being more than just something to go with the exhibition—it really connected with people, including the award judges.

At the 2025 American Advertising Federation District 4 Awards, held in Orlando, Nothing New took home both a Gold ADDY and the coveted Charlie Award for Best in Film, Video and Sound. The Charlie is awarded to just one entry per category across the entire district, which includes top creative work from all over Florida and the Caribbean. With thousands of entries submitted, these honors reflect the highest level of creative excellence—and we’re proud to have helped bring this story to life in a way that truly stood out.
